(A show highly slept on.)
The blog has been getting many upgrades! Non-exhaustive list:
- Content has now been split into diaries, articles, and notes;
- Clicking a tag on the index pages now behaves consistently between the tag cloud and the list entries;
- Front page now only shows the latest diary entry;
- Blog now implements public/friends/private access levels, although there is no authentication feature yet;
- Code blocks now have syntax highlighting.
I started writing an article on copyright. Just like yesterday’s article, it leans rather negative, also because it flows out of that one. I don’t want to make too much of a habit of writing negativistic opinion pieces all the time, so I’ll try to make the next article more positive, and not an opinion piece. Reading too many opinions isn’t good for you.
Big exercise today! Doing barbell deadlifts for the first time. Very nuanced exercise, very interesting. Here’s what today’s programme looked like:
- 5 minutes high intensity stationary bike;
- Stretches, light dumbbell mobility exercises;
- Barbell deadlifts, 3 sets - 6 reps - 25kg (light to start!);
- Barbell bench press, 3 sets - 6 reps - 30kg;
- Dumbbell bicep curls, 3 sets - 6 reps - 10kg each hand;
- Leg raises, 3 sets - until failure;
- Farmer’s walk, 2 sets - until failure - 32kg each hand.
As usual, I crashed asleep for a little while after that. Fun.
Since it’s friday, let’s do a little week review:
- I’ve been nicely consistent with a lot of good habits:
- Bass practice;
- Exercise;
- Journaling;
- Reading;
- French study.
- I’ve made a bunch of technical improvements to the blog;
- I’ve written a lot: ~1500 words of articles, ~2500 words of journals, ~1000 words of notes;
- I’ve successfully adjusted and stabilized my sleep schedule.
This weekend, I would still like to:
- Put the blog online;
- Finish the open projects index;
- Set up an IRC server.
For next week, I’d like to:
- Maintain my current habits, but add:
- Morning daily planning;
- Daily work on projects;
- More extensive French study;
- Drawing practice.
- Implement IndieWeb features on the blog.
